HeartMath Stress Relief
Biofeedback

HeartMath sessions help regulate and balance the nervous system through breathing exercises and positive emotions with technology that measures heart rate variability (HRV). According to the most recent scientific research, HeartMath has the potential to positively affect a wide range of physiological, emotional, and cognitive functions.

HeartMath, a stress resilience
mastery tool

People rely on HeartMath as a tool to observe, balance and regulate their nervous system. A balanced nervous system improves all systems of the body, including cognitive functioning, breathing, cardiovascular health, digestive issues, and nervousness. People gain self-care confidence to reset and reenergize by practicing coherent breathing and guided imagery.

The Tool

HeartMath records and analyzes the rate of heartbeats, known as Heart Rate Variability (HRV). The insights reveal how balanced an autonomic nervous system is, plus the effectiveness of the relaxing part of the nervous system.

If there's a significant imbalance, Sunnie will coach you through it and, if needed, find other ways to establish balance.

The Session

A small heart rate sensor gets placed on the earlobe while you view your HRV on a computer screen. Three easy-to-see colored columns show the HRV findings in low, medium, and high ranges. Sunnie will establish a baseline of data then she'll coach you on coherent breathing patterns and guided imagery until your nervous system relaxes. You will acquire the tools to continue the practice on your own.

HeartMath Science

Reduces Stress: HeartMath is a powerful tool for reducing stress. The program shows people how to regulate their heart rhythms, which can have a calming effect on the body. HeartMath techniques can also lower cortisol levels, a hormone associated with stress, and increases hormones associated with well-being. These physiological changes can lead to a reduction in stress levels and improved emotional and physical health.

Improves Emotional Resilience: HeartMath techniques can help people improve their emotional resilience. The program shows how to manage emotions by focusing on positive feelings such as appreciation, gratitude, and compassion. These positive emotions help reduce anxiety, anger, and frustration. As people become more skilled in managing their feelings, they become better equipped to handle difficult situations and challenges.

Enhances Cognitive Functioning: HeartMath techniques can enhance cognitive functioning. Research has shown that HeartMath can help improve memory, attention, and problem-solving skills. The program enables people to stay focused, alert, and engaged by improving their heart rhythm coherence, which can lead to improved cognitive functioning and increased mental clarity.

Improves Sleep Quality: HeartMath can enhance the quality of sleep. The program shows people how to achieve a state of relaxation and reduce stress before going to bed. Studies have found that HeartMath techniques can improve the duration and quality of sleep, leading to improved overall health and well-being.

Enhances Athletic Performance: HeartMath techniques can improve athletic performance. The program shows people how to achieve peak performance by improving their heart rhythm coherence. Athletes can stay focused, calm, and energized during competition. Research has found that HeartMath can enhance athletic performance by increasing endurance, reaction time, and mental clarity.

Improves Overall Health and Well-being: HeartMath techniques can improve overall health and well-being. The program can reduce the risk of developing chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. HeartMath techniques can also improve immune system function, increase energy levels, and enhance overall physical health.
